Load flow analysis is widely used for finding voltage at various parts of a large, interconnected power system. The exponential increase in the use electronic devices and noticeable percentage integration renewable energy sources modern systems result occurrence non-sinusoidal voltages By reformation Newton-Raphson load method, few harmonic algorithms have been developed transmission systems. However, larger systems, complexity heavy computational burden are often encountered solution process due to increased size Jacobean matrix that further increases with multiple non-linear buses compensation requirements. This leads convergence problems execution time. In this paper, an optimal algorithm proposed, employs modified PSO technique select control variables method find solutions reduced matrix. formulated uses simple take into account nonlinear loads results faster convergence. novelty desired amount reactive currents obtained. can help getting future distorted compensation. performance proposed tested on IEEE 30-bus system validated Simulink model
